Brawley, CA – Five Crowns Marketing hits a grand slam with the introduction of their new Origami Cantaloupe! Hitting stores in May, Five Crowns Marketing is one of only two U.S. growers licensed to bring retailers this new variety of melon.
Delivered to stores under the Majesty Brand starting next month, consumers will delight in the Origami’s deep orange color, high brix and great flavor. The excellent taste is unparalleled among other melon varieties available in the early season. This unique variety of cantaloupe was developed by the Harris Moran Seed Company.
Retailers will be pleased with the excellent quality and firmness, good shipping ability and longer shelf life. The Origami’s thin rind and small cavity will allow for higher yields per case for retailers. The mouth-watering unique flavor will guarantee the popularity of this new variety. The Origami is being harvested out of the Imperial Valley and will be available through the beginning of July.
