FL Dept. Of Agriculture Launches Advertising Campaign Promoting Fresh From Florida Products

Tallahassee, FL – The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services launched a new “Fresh From Florida” marketing campaign with ads across the state that feature fresh Florida seafood and produce.

The marketing campaign – the second in as many years – will air statewide television commercials to promote the state's fresh and healthy agriculture and seafood products and the “Fresh From Florida” brand.

“Florida produces some of the world's finest, freshest seafood and produce available,” said Commissioner of Agriculture Adam H. Putnam. “The advertising campaign features Florida seafood and produce in fantastic recipes that are quick and simple to prepare.”

Research indicates that consumers want quick and easy recipes to make healthy meals for themselves and their families. The recipes featured in the ads were developed by Chef Justin Timineri, Florida's Culinary Ambassador, with this in mind. The ads, available in 15- and 30-second segments, prove that a fresh, healthy dinner can be on the table even on busy weeknights.

The five ads feature Florida corn, tomato and avocado salsa; pan roasted Florida vegetables; arugula and Florida berry salad with candied pecans; Snapper with citrus sauce; and Florida strawberry parfait.

Beginning this week, the ads will air on major network and cable television stations in all of Florida's 10 media markets: Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Fort Myers, Pensacola, Tallahassee, Gainesville and Panama City.

Commercials will air in programs like the Grammy Awards, the Oscars and prime programming such as the NCIS, the Amazing Race, Castle, Survivor, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, The Voice, Good Wife and more.
