ACE Bakery has teamed up with culinary adventurer and Food Network celebrity, Bob Blumer, food rescuers Second Harvest, and the cultural landmark Gladstone Hotel to bring you a scrumptious contest that will award a lucky winner the VIP treatment in Toronto at the start of the summer season.
ACE is hosting a Facebook contest (open to Canadian residents only) called ACE the Taste with Bob Blumer. Entrants are encouraged to test their bread trivia with a customized quiz in which they answer multiple choice questions about the history of bread. They will then be automatically entered into a random draw to win a two-night stay at the historic Gladstone Hotel in downtown Toronto in the Surreal Gourmet Suite, designed by Blumer. They will also win a night out grazing through some of the city's best restaurants with Blumer himself, as well as receive two VIP tickets to Second Harvest's premier culinary event of the season, Toronto Taste.
ACE Bakery and Blumer have long been supporters of Second Harvest. ACE has participated in Toronto Taste for more than a decade and has donated leftover bread for distribution to Second Harvest food banks. Blumer has been an ambassador for Second Harvest for the last 5 years. Second Harvest connects excess food with hungry people by rescuing food that would have otherwise gone to waste, and delivers it to social service agencies in Toronto, reaching 100,000 people each month.
