The tasty flourishes that Karen Drumheller applies to desserts have long been
familiar to shoppers at the Spring Meadows Giant supermarket on Van Reed Road in
Spring Township, where she is head cake decorator.
Now her talents have drawn appreciation from outside Berks County.
Drumheller won first place overall, most original and best of theme at last
month’s ChocolateFest in Hershey, a competition among area confectioners,
retailers, restaurants, hotels and caterers.
