Kroger Expanding Corporate Brands With Coffee Cups, Yogurt

Kroger Co. will expand its corporate brands next week when it launches its new line of Private Selection single serve coffee pods.

The coffee cups are compatible with Keurig coffee machines. Kroger’s lineup of coffee cups will include a variety of 100 percent Arabica roasts and blends, including Breakfast Blend, Guatemala, Swiss Water Decaf and Venetian Reserve, said Rodney McMullen, Kroger’s president and chief operating officer, in an investor conference call Friday.

The Business Courier reported earlier this year that Kroger would be launching the single-serving coffee cups.

Kroger’s corporate brands represented 26.3 percent of grocery department sales dollars in the second quarter.
