Oakhurst Dairy Unveils Chocolate Nog For The Holidays

PORTLAND, MAINE — Oakhurst Dairy, northern New England’s largest independent family-owned dairy company, introduces a delicious and very merry seasonal beverage for 2012 — Chocolate Nog. The new tasty holiday treat, a blend of the company’s Egg Nog and Super Premium Chocolate Milk, began hitting shelves in mid-October and represents the first Chocolate Nog in New England. Chocolate lovers will find the new nog for a limited time in pint and quart sizes in the dairy and refrigerated sections of grocery and convenience stores. The arrival of Oakhurst’s seasonal beverages also marks the beginning of the company’s annual holiday fundraising tradition of donating five cents ($.05) to The Salvation Army for every container of Egg Nog sold. This year represents the 13th consecutive year of this tradition. To date, Oakhurst Dairy has donated more than $200,000 to The Salvation Army through this annual effort, which equates to more than 4 million cartons sold.
