Milk moustaches around Kansas City will be a different color as the Shatto Milk Company introduces Cookies and Cream Milk as permanent flavored milk. Earlier this year the Shatto’s asked customers which of the seven special edition flavors from their tenth anniversary celebration they would like to have made throughout the year. Cookies and Cream rose to the top.
Cookies and Cream milk made its debut last year as the Shatto Milk Company celebrated its tenth anniversary. The product was met with such excitement and enjoyment, the Shatto’s new it would be hard not to bring it back in the future. “It was a hit!” Said Barbara Shatto. “Customers all over the metro were calling the farm asking if we could extend its production another week”. More than 2,000 people took part in the survey that asked which of the seven limited edition flavors they would like to see made permanent. “The final vote was close, but our customers chose Cookies and Cream”. “We view our customers as our neighbors, friends and family, thus we enjoy the opportunity to allow them to have a voice in the products we offer” said Barbara Shatto.
Cookies and Cream Milk will begin hitting local shelves on Monday. If customers would like to get their hands on this new product sooner, they can visit the farm store today or the Overland Park Farmers Market, where the Shatto’s offer their milk, cheese, butter and more, this Saturday morning.
Shatto Milk Company's Annual Family Day at the Farm will be held on June 21, 2014. The event is free to all as visitors can enjoy samples, milk a cow, pet the baby calves, enjoy hay rides, music and free lunch while supplies last.
