ORRVILLE, Ohio—Evildoers better keep a watchful eye on their rearview mirrors because those five famous crime-fighting cows—Hooved Justice, Dozer, Lady Lasso, Bullseye, and Chocolate Crusader—have hit the road in a very big way. Featured in SMITH’S new mobile game app, Herd of Heroes, the five colorful bovine superheroes are now prominently displayed on the side of the first of the company’s 53-foot tractor trailers, along with the herd’s rallying cry, “The Power of Milk!”
“The game app format allowed us to push the SMITH’S brand outside our current market,” said SMITH'S Marketing Services Manager Jerry Cosentino. “And now, putting the Herd of Heroes on our trucks will increase the visibility of the Herd of Heroes characters and the app itself.”
Tyler Parkinson of TYPK Illustration and Design, one of the brothers who developed the Herd of Heroes game app, designed the truck graphics. “We wanted to have the heroes interacting with the truck surface, which is why we ultimately went with them bursting from the side of the truck with Lady Lasso roping an easily recognizable yellow jug of SMITH’S branded milk,”
Along with the bigger-than-life characters, SMITH’S yellow jug of milk, and “The Power of Milk” tag line, the impressive truck graphics also feature the game’s website address and scannable QR code that links directly to download Herd of Heroes. Since the game has been made available in March via the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Amazon, the Herd of Heroes, and the Smith’s brand, have gone international with downloads around the globe. www.herdofheroes.com.
