Atalanta Welcomes New Director Of Corporate Food Safety

Elizabeth, NJ – Atalanta is excited to welcome Linda Gavin as the new Director of Corporate Food Safety and Quality Assurance. With over 25 years of industry and education experience, including manufacturing, merchandising, plant management and food safety leadership, Linda will help usher Atalanta and their parent company, the Gellert Global Group, into a new focus on food safety and management.

With a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition and an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickenson University, Linda brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to this new position. She is HACCP and SQF Implementation certified, and has served as President of her own consulting firm, Gavin Compliance, since 2011. Managing the food manufacturing operations for Pathmark Supermarkets and the Manischewitz Company, Linda helped these companies achieve best practices, enable further technology transfers and maintain high food safety standards. During her eight year tenure at Rutgers University’s Center for Advanced Food Technology, Linda directed outreach activities while simultaneously working with the FDA and USDA.

As the primary contact for any food safety inquiries within Atalanta, Linda will serve as the liaison between the organization’s customers and suppliers for quality assurance matters. Linda will lead an important chapter towards meeting the ever-changing regulatory requirements of food safety and quality assurance within the food industry, as well as the high expectations of our customer base.

Linda hails from Gillette, New Jersey where she resides with her husband Tim and son Ryan. She looks forward to assisting Atalanta in this important step towards maintaining the highest food safety and quality assurance standards in the industry.
