Bellwether Farms Is A Taste Test Award Winner

Bellwether Farms Whole Milk Basket Ricotta was named a Taste Test Award Winner as part of Cooking Light’s second annual Taste Test Awards, also known as “The Tasties,” which name the best-tasting and healthiest grocery store products and stand-out artisanal treats from across the country in 24 categories. The feature appears in the October issue, which is available on newsstands nationwide and online at http://www.cookinglight.com/cooking-101/essential-ingredients/best-local-artisanal-foods-2011-00412000072765/.

For the artisanal category, the Cooking Light editors along with a team of regional food experts sampled everything from superb burrata (mozzarella taken to a higher, creamier level) to a gluten-free baking mix that yielded muffins every bit as delicious as their gluten-based counterparts. Twenty-six winning products were chosen in six categories: Beer & Spirits, Meat, Cheese, Condiments, Sweets, and The Best of the Rest.
