CWI Specialty Foods Names Peter Hausin Chief Executive Officer

Ringwood, NJ –  CWI Specialty Foods, Inc. announced today the appointment of Peter Hausin as Chief Executive Officer. He replaces Robert A. Sigel who will remain a principal investor and Director of the company. Mr. Sigel said; “Peter Hausin joins our company with a wealth of industry experience and knowledge, and is the right person to take the helm at this time.” Mr. Sigel became a director of CWI in November of 2010, and assumed the CEO role in January of 2011 at a critical time for the business. He has guided it through a management and operational restructure, positioning the business for continued growth.

Mr. Hausin has had a distinguished career, spanning twenty five years, in the cheese and specialty food industry both in Europe and the United States. His prior experience includes; President of the Board of VIF Argent Holding, a manufacturer of tuna salad, and Partner and co-founder of Palmilord – Rougie, the leading foie gras company in the world. From 2007 to 2011, Mr. Hausin was President of Harry Wills and Co., Secaucus, NJ, which was acquired by Chef’s Warehouse, Inc. Since then he has been an independent consultant to several cheese and specialty food manufacturers and importers.
