Heini’s Rebrands As Bunker Hill Cheese

MILLERSBURG After more than 55 years selling its products under the Heini’s Cheese label, the family-owned company is returning to its roots and rebranding as Bunker Hill Cheese.

Heini’s Cheese Chalet will retain its name and still function as a tourist attraction, but beginning this month the company now sells its products in stores as Bunker Hill Cheese. Bunker Hill has always been the corporate name for the company, a nod to its origins in 1935 as the Bunker Hill Cheese Co-op, owner LeeAnne Dauwalder-Heath said.

“It’s always been Bunker Hill Cheese to us as much as it’s been Heini’s,” Dauwalder-Heath said. “We really don’t feel like we’re saying goodbye to Heini’s in totality, just keeping that part local.”
