Hope Foods Achieves SQF Certification

Boulder, Co – Hope Foods, a leading natural foods manufacturer of organic dips and spreads, announced today that it has been awarded SQF Level 2 certification by the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI), a globally trusted, recognized and accepted food safety and quality program.

“Hope Foods is committed to providing its customers with safe, quality food,” said Robbie Rech, president of Hope Foods. “Hope maintains an SQF Food Safety Management System to effectively support food safety and quality throughout the entire organization—every step of our process from the quality of ingredients to the preparation and packaging of the end product has been evaluated and meets the rigorous global certification standards of SQF. Quality and Food Safety is the job of everyone at Hope Foods.”

To achieve SQF certification, Hope Foods spent months building an effective food safety management system and implementing food safety fundamentals to ensure its facility and environment are capable of producing safe products. Its facilities underwent a rigorous audit by NSF encompassing vendor compliance verification, review of food safety programs such as Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Food Defense and Traceability, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), employee hygiene, and a site audit.

As a Global Food Safety Institute (GFSI) benchmark, the SQF program is recognized by retailers and foodservice providers around the world as a rigorous, credible food safety management system. Many national retailers and grocery store chains require their suppliers have SQF Level 2 certification.

“We know that our customers are smart and aware of what they are putting in their bodies. We have always wanted to set their minds at ease in assuring them that we are who we say we are. That is why we are certified organic, certified gluten free, certified Kosher, non-GMO verified, and now SQF certified. We make safe, quality food from safe, quality ingredients,” said Ian Beert, Vice President of Operations at Hope Foods.

Hope’s dedication to innovation and continuous improvement has driven this initiative to be certified to a GFSI standard. Hope Foods seeks to be a leader among the natural food industry and to improve the quality and processes that go into food. Hope understands that food safety is a major factor in that.

About HOPE Foods. Hope is a brand founded on friendship, with a vision to bring flavor and fresh innovation to the dip category. Designed to be shared, dips suggest community as a value of which Hope lives by. Often too busy to stop and share a meal together, Americans are spending less and less time around the table together. We want our dips and spreads to be a reason for people to stop and gather, share life, and spread good things. All products are certified organic, non-GMO, gluten free, and Kosher. Take a look at our ingredient labels, we have nothing to hide, and we are proud of what we put in our products.
