Hope Foods Announces New Product Lines For 2014

Boulder, CO – Hope Foods announces it plans to introduce three new product lines into its repertoire in early 2014. This move will continue to establish the company as a leader in the premium, natural foods world. The addition of Hope Crafted, gluten-free, dairy-free crackers; Hope Spreads, premium, non-dairy dark chocolate spreads; and Hope To Go, snack packs including crackers and a dip, will establish Hope as a multi-category company providing a premium and diverse set of healthy snack options.

“It's been a big year for our team at Hope Foods”, says Kari Baker who heads the Research and Development team at Hope, “Not only did we add six new flavors to our existing products, we also created three new product lines. This year, you'll see a Hope Crafted line which features four cracker flavors, a Hope Spreads line which features three chocolate flavors, and a Hope To Go line, which combines dips and spreads with crackers for an easy grab and go snack pack.”

HOPE Crafted
Alek Ramoska, VP of Sales, is most excited for the Hope Crafted line. “Ours is the only specialty cracker I have seen that is certified gluten free and certified organic. The flavor profile is unlike anything else.” In addition to being gluten free, the cracker line is also non-GMO, vegan, Kosher, dairy free and soy free. The crackers are made from fresh organic ingredients and are naturally low in sodium.

Hope will begin using the crackers for their in-store demo program, which has been an important component of the company’s marketing strategy. “We have used other crackers to demo with in the past, but we could never find the right fit. I really think we nailed it with our crackers and the flavors.” The Hope Crafted line will hit the market with four flavors: Fig Almond, Kale Tomato, Sesame Garlic, and Sweet Oat.

HOPE Spreads
The new Hope Spreads line includes an innovative recipe that produces a creamy dark chocolate spread with three tasty and unique flavors: Dark Chocolate, Chili Dark Chocolate, and Coconut Dark Chocolate. The allergy friendly spread was originally created by Denver entrepreneur Christine Breeden for her children with dairy allergies. The product was so delicious that it soon became in high demand with her neighbors and friends. Christine eventually partnered with Hope Foods to develop the chocolate into a Hope Foods product. The spread is non-GMO, USDA certified organic, gluten free, Kosher, dairy free and soy free, and has a low-glycemic index. Like all other Hope products, the technology of high pressure processing (HPP) is applied on the Hope Spreads to ensure freshness without compromising taste or health.

According to Ramoska, “This product gives you the permissible indulgence of a chocolate spread without the sugar, fat and calorie content that sweet spreads typically have. This is not a diet product, but looking at the label it almost could be. To make something gluten free, dairy free, and soy free that tastes good and is also low in sugar, fat, and calorie content is pretty remarkable.”

HOPE To Go
The To Go line, which pairs Hope Spreads or Hope Dips with Hope Crafted crackers into a convenient snack pack, rounds out the new product line up. The product developers at Hope Foods have carefully considered which crackers best compliment the flavors from their dip lines to form the right combinations. The Kale Tomato crackers will be included in packs with both the Original Recipe Hummus and the Original Lentil Dip. For those with a sweet tooth, the Dark Chocolate Spread will be paired with Sweet Oat crackers.

In addition to the thoughtful flavor profiles, Hope Foods is able to apply the same values that define all of its products to the To Go line: certified non-GMO, certified gluten free, fresh organic ingredients, certified Kosher, vegan, high pressure processed (HPP), dairy free and soy free. “Its really cool to have our own crackers. We know exactly what goes into them and that the product matches the standards we hold for our products. That is something that is very unique about our To Go snacks, says Ramoska. “We’re not just a dips company anymore. We’re Hope Foods.”
