Lovera's Cheese Co. Gains International Recognition At The World Cheese Awards

McALESTER — Lovera’s Cheese Co. gains international recognition at the World Cheese Awards.

“We sent five of our cheeses overseas to this global competition,” Lovera’s Cheesemaker Shawn Duffy said. “Our Caciocavera cheese received the gold place award in the mild provolone category.”

“Our Hickory Smoked Caciocavera was awarded the silver place in the smoked cheese category,” he said. “The latest addition to our line of fine Italian type cheeses ‘Batista,’ which is a caciocavallo style 50/50 blend of La Mancha goat’s milk and Jersey cow’s milk took the silver in the mixed milk category.”

Duffy said this was Lovera’s first year to enter cheeses in this international event.
