LANSING, Ill. — Land O'Frost, the nation's largest family-owned packaged lunchmeat brand, is expanding its newest product, Land O'Frost Wrap Kit, to store shelves across the U.S. beginning this month.
The new Wrap Kit signals an introduction into a new segment for Land O'Frost and provides consumers with a convenient solution for quick, great tasting meals. Initially rolled out to test markets in January of this year, the Wrap Kit has received such positive consumer feedback and successful sales that Land O'Frost decided to expand the product's distribution nationwide.
"At Land O'Frost, we are constantly innovating and developing new products that will not only appeal to our consumers' taste buds, but also provide them with easy, 'on the run' meal options since we know time is valuable for everyone," said Karen Malsom, Director of Innovation, Land O'Frost. The Wrap Kits come in two varieties: Oven Roasted Turkey & Pepper Jack and Black Forest Ham & Swiss. Each kit contains 25 slices of Land O'Frost lunchmeat, five slices of cheese and five tortillas. Based on early consumer response to the Wrap Kits in test markets, consumers can look forward to new additional Wrap Kit flavors this summer.
Land O'Frost is always looking for ways to make meal assembly easy for consumers. Last year the company introduced its Sub Sandwich Kit that offers sliced meat in pre-portioned layers, each one on individual sheets of parchment paper for ease of sandwich preparation. The Sub Sandwich Kits come in two varieties, Italian-Style and Smoked Ham & Oven Roasted Turkey, and each kit makes 12, 6 inch Sub sandwiches.
