FRESNO — The Ohio Swiss Cheese Association announces the winners for the 2019 National Dairy Month contest which was held June 5 at Pearl Valley Cheese in Fresno. This contest is the first of three contests held during the year that determines the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion cheesemakers for 2019.
This contest awarded the cheesemakers for two classifications: Swiss Class and Open Class (various cheeses that do not fall in the Swiss classification.)
Winners for the Swiss Class are: First place, Pearl Valley Cheese, Fresno; Second place, Guggisberg Cheese Co., Millersburg; Third Place, Broad Run Cheese, Dover.
