FOND DU LAC – Montreal-based Saputo Cheese is closing its doors here next spring in an effort to improve efficiency, the company said.
The closure of the cheese manufacturing facility at 45 E. Scott St. will leave 126 people out of work.
Employees will receive severance and some will be offered a chance to work at other Saputo facilities, according to a company press release issued Thursday.
