The Crack Heard Around the World is an annual event highlighting the “king” of cheese, Parmigiano-Reggiano, at Whole Foods Market. This event has taken place since 2008 and is held simultaneously at every Whole Foods location from Hawaii to the United Kingdom.
This year at the Whole Foods location in Naples, FL, Crack Heard Around the World was hosted by Whole Foods global cheese buyer Cathy Strange. She is very accomplished.
Besides being on the cover of at least one industry magazine, Cathy has served as a judge on many prestigious international cheese competitions and been awarded many coveted industry awards which in some cases was a first for someone of her stature. She also serves in one of the highest capacities in one of the most respected international cheese guilds in the world.
