Thursday, April 11
8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. – Old San Juan Tour (Depart from hotel lobby, lunch is included)
Upon your arrival to the Old City your first stop is the San Cristobal Fort for a short tour and amazing photo opportunities. Traveling through the Old City enjoy historical sites such as: El Morro Fort, San Jose Church, El Convento, San Juan Cathedral and Capilla del Cristo. Your next stop is Paseo la Princesa with a walking tour to see the entrance of the San Juan Bay harbor and Plaza de Armas for a little shopping. You will visit local artesian shops as well as the outlet stores on Cristo Street. Learn about the unique streets that are paved with cobbles of adoquine, a blue stone cast from furnace slag. These cobbles were brought over ballast on Spanish ships. See how time and moisture have lent them their characteristic color. Get inspired by the more than 400 carefully restored 16th- and 17th-century Spanish colonial buildings.
