Clematis 'Diamond Ball' & Plants Of The World Concept Win Press Award

In the Garden Plants category, Clematis ‘Diamond Ball’ by Clematis Marczynski Container Nursery from Poland has won the Plantarium Press Award. Plants of the World by Bremmer Boomkwekerijen v.o.f. from Waddinxveen won this award in the Concepts category. It was a particularly close finish, as the winner was only 1 point ahead of "Rose Hip Marmalade" by Rozenkwekerij Gebr. Seuren BV from Lottum.

With regard to the Plants of the World concept, the jury felt it was a good idea to draw the attention of consumers (and Retail) to well-known plants in a new and light-hearted way, to give them an extra reason to buy the plant.
The jury praised the Clematis ‘Diamond Ball’. They were particularly impressed with the attractive, double, full flowers which give the plant an abundant appearance. The Plantarium Press Award was presented to the winners by the chairman of the jury, Ms Galina Vlasenok, a TV journalist from Russia.
