Floraholland Organizes Seminar On Coming Fall Trends

On Wednesday the 26th of January, FloraHolland College will organize a trend seminar for growers, buyers, marketers as well as flower arrangers. The event will focus on the trends for this year’s fall and winter seasons, and specifically discuss the chances and opportunities which follow from those perceived developments in the sector.

Questions such as “what world developments are currently affecting the purchasing behavior of the consumer?” and “how can we horticulturalists make good use of this?” will be tackled during the seminar, which will take place at climate and process control company Priva in De Lier (near the city of Delft).

Trend analyst Sandra Könings will provide participants in the seminar with insight into the mind and behavior of the current consumer. She is the founder of the company Trendlogic, and works as a concept manager for a variety of renowned Dutch retailers for whom an adequate focus on the consumer is absolutely essential. “How do you create collections which consumers truly desire?” is the key question in her approach, and her answer reads: creativity. “Creativity allows you to set yourself apart, and investing in that is becoming more and more important”, Könings advises.
