Horticulture Consultant To Address Ellison Floriculture Fall Lecture

COLLEGE STATION – The Ellison International Floriculture Chair Distinguished Lecture Series at Texas A&M University will feature O. Stanley Pohmer, chief executive officer of Pohmer Consulting Group, headquartered in Minnetonka, Minn.

The event is Oct. 16, beginning with a reception at 2 p.m. followed by Pohmer’s presentation at 3 p.m. in Room 129 of the Agriculture and Life Sciences Building, 600 John Kimbrough Blvd., College Station. The event is free and open to the public.

Pohmer’s topic is “How full is our bucket? We not only need rain, we need customers!”

“Drought is no stranger in Texas, but more and more of our country is beginning to experience the same challenges Texans have been dealing with,” Pohmer said. “We are just now starting to deal with the political, legislative and social implications of water scarcity and water quality.”
