Green Fields: Tyson Joins Worker Verification Program

Tyson Foods said it has become a full member of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement program to verify the legal status of workers.

Known as the ICE Mutual Agreement Between Government and Employers, the program enables businesses to work with the federal government to ensure that their workers are legally in the United States.

In Iowa, Tyson has pork/slaughter processing plants in Storm Lake, Perry, Waterloo and Columbus Junction. It also has a deli meat plant in Cherokee, a case-ready meat plant in Council Bluffs and a beef plant at Denison.
