Missouri Beef Industry Council Updates Website To Boost Consumer-Producer Communication

Over the last few months, the Missouri Beef Industry Council website, www.mobeef.org, has changed in appearance and structure. The goal for the MBIC homepage is to make it more inviting and user friendly. Icons linking to MBIC social media sites, the Beef Store, and MBIC's "Team Beef" runner information at the bottom of every page makes it easier for users to stay connected and to use as a helpful resource.

The social media sites encourage consumers to connect with the Missouri Beef Industry Council on Facebook and Twitter to ask questions, share their favorite beef recipes and grilling tips, or simply to share their love for beef. The consumer link features recipes for summer grilling, helpful cooking tips, and loads of nutrition information.

The "Farmers and Ranchers" tab now houses more news to keep Missouri beef producers up-to-date. The Checkoff Chats audio link, weekly updates and news releases help keep producers informed on how their beef checkoff dollars are being invested and are benefiting the industry. It also shares the latest information on the "Speaking of Beef" program, beef promotion grants, beef safety programs and beef industry statistics.
