After 22 years as one of the major butchery and meat-distributing businesses in Portland, Nicky USA is expanding into Seattle.
Company president and founder Geoff Latham announced recently that his butchery business has dispatched both a sales and consultant staffer to the Emerald City in order to open up more business there. Nicky USA has delivered its high quality meats and game to Seattle since 1996 but the company wants to open a warehouse there within a year or so. Sending sales and consultant staff is the first step.
Latham says Seattle is a bigger market than Portland's, for example, and has that much more potential, though there is also more competition there, too, such as Corifini Gourmet.
The move into Seattle isn't the only expansion that's happening for Nicky USA.
