South Dakota's Pork Farmers To Serve Sandwiches In Pierre

In preparation for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, South Dakota pork producers will be grilling up more than 800 free pork loin sandwiches on Thursday starting at 11 a.m. at Lynn’s Dakotamart in Pierre until they run out.

The South Dakota Pork Producers Council will be in the Black Hills area for its eighth year as “Pork, The Official Meat” of the 2013 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Come and join more than 40 pork farmers grilling delicious pork chop sandwiches for four days at area Lynn’s Dakotamart stores, Walgreen’s and Krull’s Grocery.

On Saturday, Aug. 3, the South Dakota pork producers will grill at the Sturgis Lynn’s Dakotamart store and Stone Face Winery in Hill City where sandwiches will be available starting at 10 a.m. Free pork sandwiches will be available again on Sunday, Aug. 4, in front of the Belle Fourche Lynn’s Dakotamart store and at Krull’s Grocery Store in Hill City. Sandwiches will be grilled beginning at 10 a.m. Come by and pick up delicious grilled pork sandwiches on Monday, Aug. 5, at Lynn’s Dakotamart store in Lead and Walgreen’s in Spearfish at 10 a.m. The producers conclude their pork promotions on Tuesday, Aug. 6, in front of the Lazelle Street Sturgis Dakotamart store starting at 10 a.m. Over this whole weekend in Sturgis and surrounding areas the South Dakota Pork Producers will be grilling more than 2,000 pounds of pork.
