Caramel Naturel Dates Fresh Harvest Underway

Bakersfield, CA –  Atlas Produce and Distribution, Inc., a grower and shipper of 100% natural California ONLY grown dates is excited to announce that “The 2013 California date harvest is underway and looking very strong.” said Robert Dobrzanski, President of Atlas Produce. The weather this summer in California has been perfect for Medjool dates with long hot days that were frequently over 100 degrees. The harvest starts in August and lasts between 8 – 12 weeks.   “We are proud to offer only California grown Medjool dates.  Our loyal Caramel Naturel date retail partners and consumers have told us that California dates are head and shoulders above dates from other areas of the US and  Mexico.  Our retail partners have been listening to their consumers’ feedback and our sales have exceeded expectations!”

“Caramel Naturel dates come from 100% California fruit, 100% of the time, and that has contributed to our growth. We proudly use the California Grown symbol on all of our packaging to give consumers added confidence in the brand.” added Mr. Dobrzanski.

About California Grown Dates:

California is the largest producer of fresh dates.  Dates grow in clusters below the fronds of a date palm tree. The fruit is 1 to 3 inches long, thinly skinned, with plump, sweet flesh and a small pit in the center.  Caramel Naturel dates and date products are all natural and nutrient rich.  They are an excellent source of fiber, natural sugar, potassium and antioxidants and are fat, sodium, and cholesterol free.
