Category Partners recently added produce industry veteran, Angie Hanson, to its executive team. Hanson brings more than a decade of retail relationships and experience across a broad spectrum of produce commodities and brands. Angie Hanson joined Category Partners – a company collaborating with leading retailers and suppliers to generate data-driven sales and marketing solutions – as Director of Category Development.
She will align with Category Partners’ principals, Farm Fresh Direct and Wada Farms – two large domestic fresh potato shippers – to help drive retail sales and marketing opportunities.
CEO, Tom Barnes, was quoted as saying, “Identifying retail opportunities and driving growth for our principals and clients was the founding mission of Category Partners nearly a decade ago. Angie will operate at the center of our mission by leading Category Partners' in working with a growing number of retail partners to expand relationships, insights and grow business on their behalf. I am excited to have Angie join the team and look forward to seeing her positively impact the produce industry.”

Prior to joining Category Partners, Hanson has overseen business development, marketing and communications programs for such top tier produce organizations as organicgirl, Oppy, California Avocado Commission and Christopher Ranch.
Angie is a Kansas City native. She currently lives in the Denver, Colorado area and enjoys running and hiking with her boyfriend and their new puppy. Angie is a big basketball fan and you can catch her cheering for her alma mater Kansas State Wildcats throughout the winter season, and hopefully into March. While Angie appreciates and takes full advantage of the active lifestyle that living near the Rockies presents, she still maintains loyalty to her home town Kansas City Chiefs and Royals
