In celebration of the Nuts for Banana Bread Promotion, retailers across the U.S. developed amazing displays of Chiquita™ Banana Bread Mix, walnuts and bananas. These displays were built in produce departments between October 1st and December 31st, 2011. Winning displays were awarded $500.00 gift vouchers.
The display contest sponsor, Concord Foods Inc., who manufactures Chiquita™ Banana Bread Mix, provided retailers with point-of-sales (POS) materials, such as posters and recipe pads. Stores used their own creativity to design and incorporate the Nuts for Banana Bread theme into each display. Participants submitted their displays online by e-mail or by mail along with a photo of the display.
Concord Foods judged retailers on creativity, use of POS materials, and how the displays incorporated all three products. A total of 12 cash prizes were awarded to the top finishers in three store categories. First place winners received $500.00 gift cards and the second through fifth place winners received $100.00 gift cards.
