DMA Solutions Hosts Scholarship Recipients At Viva Fresh

Irving, TX – Aggies for Fresh, established by DMA Solutions, Inc., will introduce six top-performing students from Texas A&M University at Viva Fresh Produce Expo as part of a campaign to bring the best Aggie talent to the fresh produce industry. With support from the Texas International Produce Association and other industry leaders at the event, the goal will be to welcome new talent into the industry and the vast career opportunities that exist – everything from Food Science to Ag Communications.

Aggies for Fresh provides scholarships for students at Texas A&M to attend events like Viva Fresh, in addition to supporting graduate research and campus events in the College of Agriculture. The Viva Fresh scholarship recipients will be looking to better understand roles within the industry, while seeking internship and full-time positions.

Dan’l Mackey Almy. “My hope is that companies will embrace these students with opportunities for summer internships or full-time positions.”

Texas A&M is one of the largest Agricultural Science colleges in the world and its core values align with those of the fresh produce industry, which is one of the main reasons that DMA Solutions, Inc. supports a constant stream of Aggie talent into the industry.

“For the same reason that I chose Texas A&M, these students are passionate about creating a positive impact through food that is grown. What a perfect opportunity for us to harness that passion within our industry,” adds Almy.
