Friedas March Madness Promotion Contest Results

LOS ALAMITOS, CALIF. – Frieda’s announces the winners of its first March Madness promotion, a program designed to increase retail sales, consumer engagement on social media and inspire some friendly competition within the Frieda’s sales team, all during the popular National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball championship games throughout the month of March.

Mark Colvin, category manager for Save Mart, Lucky & FoodMaxx in Merced, Calif., is the winner of the client prize, winning a Sony Playstation 3 and the NCAA Basketball 10 game. Clients who purchased from a list of eligible products were entered into the raffle. “Thank you, Frieda’s for the Playstation! The March Madness promotion helped us key in on certain items for sales and in-store promotion, and it was really a win-win for Frieda’s, Save Mart, Lucy and FoodMaxx,” Colvin said.

On the consumer side, three participating Frieda’s Facebook fans were selected from a random raffle drawing to win a Frieda’s Final Four Hoops & Scoops gift box, including party dips and other goodies. Fans were instructed to write a special message on the Frieda’s Facebook wall to enter.

Internally, two Frieda’s Account Managers, Vicki French and Adam Flowers, and Sales Coordinator Susie Cruz, won prizes from a random drawing.

“Our March Madness promo really brought our team together for a fun event, and it helped to increase our consumer fan base on Facebook!” said Terri Mouton, Director of Client Consulting. “We also got a big kick out of the impromptu Nerf basketball shootouts in the office.”
