Pennsylvania Apple Marketing Board Announces New Executive Director

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Apple Marketing Board announced today that is has a new executive director. “After a lengthy search process, the Pennsylvania Apple Marketing Board is pleased to welcome Julie Bancroft to the leadership position of the program as Executive Director,” said PAMP Board Chair, Julie Haller.  Haller added, “Julie brings a significant background in marketing to this position and we are excited to take a fresh look at possibilities for marketing Pennsylvania apples.  She has great enthusiasm for the program and the opportunities moving forward and has begun to delve into the details of the office.  In the coming weeks and months, one of Julie’s priorities will be to meet with industry leaders. We look to everyone in the industry to share their goals for PAMP and that will be the foundation of our planning as we move forward.”

Bancroft joins PAMP in its leadership role, effective immediately. She brings more than ten years of experience in all facets of marketing communications, as well as experience in product development and operations. Prior to joining PAMP, Bancroft worked in various marketing and operations management roles for a Harrisburg-based consumer goods company. She began her career at the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency, where she worked for more than 7 years in various marketing communications capacities, supporting the agency’s non-profit and for-profit divisions.

Bancroft holds a Bachelor of Humanities in Communications from Penn State University and is a graduate of the Schreyer Honors College.

Bancroft has served her community through various non-profit volunteering opportunities including Big Brothers Big Sisters; The Art Association of Harrisburg; the US Green Building Council, Central PA Chapter; and the Society of Design. She is also the co-founder of SheSays Central PA, the local chapter of the international organization for women in marketing and advertising.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Pennsylvania agriculture community as I start this new chapter of my career,” said Bancroft. Adding, “Agriculture is a keystone to the Commonwealth’s economy and I’m honored to be representing and promoting Pennsylvania’s apple growers.”

About PAMP: The Pennsylvania Apple Marketing Program is a commodity marketing program established by the Commodity Marketing Act of 1968. The program is funded by apple growers and governed by a Board of Directors.
