Salinas, CA – February 17, 2011 — Red Blossom Sales is excited to announce the addition of Greg Phelan to their Grower and Farm Management team. Greg is a sixth generation resident of the Central Coast, and brings an accomplished agriculture background, to Red Blossom’s management team. “Greg’s expertise and long time familiarity with the region will be a great asset to Red Blossom’s team,” commented David Lawrence, President of Red Blossom Sales.
Greg has a B.S. degree in Crop Science and Viticulture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and a M.S. in Agribusiness from Cal Poly as well. He is also a California licensed Pest Control Advisor. Greg most recently worked for Bien Nacido Vineyards, Solomon Hills Vineyards, Solomon Hills Berry Farms, and Rancho Tepusquet Orchard and he looks forward to transitioning to the Central Coast strawberry industry. “Red Blossom has provided me with a great opportunity to lead their Santa Maria District.
