Nixa, MO – The Tyler Phipps Memorial Scholarship Fund is accepting applications for a scholarship to attend the 2017 PMA Executive Leadership Conference by December 12, 2016. The scholarship will cover the cost of attending the Executive Leadership Symposium, which will be held May 16-17, 2017 in Dallas, TX. Applications must be submitted by April 14, 2017 for the scholarship and May 5, 2017 is the deadline for the Symposium.
The Executive Leadership Symposium is an industry-specific conference that offers top executives an opportunity to connect with others in the industry and think strategically about global trends and innovations to ultimately improve the performance of their companies. This is the second year the Tyler Phipps Memorial Foundation will be offering this scholarship. This scholarship will cover the registration fees. In addition to the PMA leadership award, the Tyler Phipps Memorial Foundation also offers an annual scholarship of $3,500 awarded to a high school senior who is intending to continue their education for a career in the agriculture industry and a $5,000 scholarship to a wrestler at York College.
The Tyler Phipps Memorial Foundation was established in 2015 in honor of Tyler Phipps who lost his life on September 26, 2015. Tyler Phipps was a dedicated member of the Market Fresh Team for nine years, as well as the son of Steve Phipps, Chief Executive Officer of Market Fresh Produce. Tyler was honored to attend the PMA Executive Leadership Symposium on behalf of Market Fresh in 2012. The guiding principles of this the PMA Leadership Symposium Scholarship are to provide an opportunity for another rising star to continue along the path that Tyler began.
