Cub FOODS Wants To Know What You Can Make For Twenty Bucks

STILLWATER, Minn. — With families looking for ways to save money especially when it comes to meal time, is it possible to make a great dish for less than twenty dollars? Cub FOODS wants to know and invites everyone to participate in the “Plenty Fresh for Plenty Less” social media campaign contest. The grand prize winner will receive a year’s worth of groceries and six runners-up will receive Cub gift cards.

Here’s how it works: just think of a creative meal idea (or ideas) that you can prepare for your family using fresh ingredients and that you can buy for under $20. It can be one meal or more, that’s up to your creativity! Prepare your dish (or dishes) and take a photo or video of the creations and post them on the Cub FOODS Facebook page. Make sure to include a picture of the receipt highlighting the ingredients and price paid. Submissions can be posted on the Cub FOODS Facebook page now through Thursday, Sept. 15.

A panel of Cub FOODS judges will review all of the entries and select the top seven most creative submissions. From these finalists, the general public will be invited to vote and pick their favorite starting Sept. 30 through Oct. 7. The first runner-up will receive a $250 Cub gift card and the five remaining finalists will each be awarded a $50 gift card. What’s even better is that all finalists will have a chance to have their photo or video featured in an upcoming Cub FOODS advertisement.
