San Diego, CA – Local natural and organic foods company Jimbo’s…Naturally! has made the decision to raise its minimum wage to $10 per hour effective July 1, 2014. The implementation will begin immediately and the process will be complete within the next six months. The $10 per hour minimum applies to courtesy and helper clerks, while the minimum for all other positions will be $10.50 per hour. The announcement was made to staff at an all store meeting on June 26th and was enthusiastically received.
While many companies are looking for ways to cut costs and are laying off staff, Jimbo’s…Naturally! is committed to improving the financial possibilities for their employees. Despite the new wage increase, Jimbo’s…Naturally! will not be reducing employee hours, changing it’s pricing structure nor its focus on customer service. Customers will continue to experience the great customer service San Diegans have experienced for over 30 years.
