Legacy Foodservice Alliance Celebrates Five-Year Anniversary

Legacy Foodservice Alliance recently was honored during a celebration, with many Distributor and Supplier Members, Support Providers, and countless friends coming together to mark the company’s 5th Anniversary in business.  Established in 2009 by people who are well known names in the foodservice business, Legacy has built a truly unique group environment for Distributors and Suppliers alike.

The Legacy offices in Glen Allen, VA were abuzz during an afternoon open house event with over 150 well-wishers stopping in to congratulate the organization on achieving this milestone.  “The support and attendance from business partners and longtime supporters was both resounding and humbling”, says Steve Push, CEO.  “While we had a large number of folks tell us they were coming, it was still hard to imagine that all of these people would travel this far just to participate.”

Push leads an All Star Team of Group Industry veterans, hand selected over the last 5 years to ensure the success of the enterprise.  The premise for the event was to allow the Team to personally thank the many Distributor Members, Supplier Members, and Support Providers who have contributed so greatly to the success of the organization.

“We started Legacy during the depths of the Great Recession, and some people predicted our swift demise,” commented Push.  “While it has been very hard work, we’ve been very fortunate, and feel truly blessed.  We never really feared failure.  As I’ve said a few times before, it feels really good to silence the naysayers.”

The Anniversary Celebration will continue at the Legacy Fall Marketplace, coming up September 22-24 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront.
