Marsh Supermarkets Inc. announced today it will lower prices on popular items as part of a new program that launched this month.
The Good 'Til pricing program guarantees that prices on the most popular items won't increase for at least three months even if industry retail prices increase. A recent market basket survey by Indiana Farm Bureau found that prices have increased for four straight quarters, and the Associated Press has reported that prices could rise further next year because this year's unseasonably hot summer damaged much of the corn crop.
Marsh's three-month guarantees will be offered four times per year on thousands of products — including meat, produce, deli, bakery, seafood, dairy, frozen foods, health and beauty care. The current prices, displayed on in-store signage and in advertising, are good until the end of December. They're also posted at www.marsh.net.
