Wal-Mart Signs On For New Warehouse Complex South Of Orlando

BARTOW | Wal-Mart is the tenant of a new warehouse complex approved earlier this year near the intersection of U.S. 27 and Interstate 4.

The company name was revealed Monday in a County Commission agenda study session.

The Commission plans to consider a 10-year, $12.4 million property tax break under Polk County's economic development tax break ordinance following a public hearing at today's meeting.

Wal-Mart's distribution complex, which will include two 1-milliion-square-foot warehouses, will expand the corporation's entry into online sales in competition with Amazon, which opened a new warehouse and distribution center in Lakeland last year.
