Weis Markets Announces Start Of New Price Freeze Program

Sunbury, PA – Weis Markets announced the launch of its 11th round of price freezes, effective in all 164 stores. More than 1,300 products have been reduced in price and will remain at these discounted levels for 90 days.

Since the company began its price freeze initiative in January 2009, Weis customers have saved more than $45 million dollars. The current program began on Sunday July 14 and runs through October 12.

“Our Prize Freeze program has generated consistent savings for our customers since 2009,” said Kurt Schertle, Weis Markets’ executive vice president, sales and merchandising. “It is an extremely effective program that helps our customers lock in long-term savings at a time when they are looking for consistently strong values.”

Weis Markets’ current Price Freeze program includes name brand and private brand products in grocery, frozen, dairy, meat, health, beauty care and general merchandise. Customers can identify Price Freeze items through store signage and shelf tags for participating items, as well as in weekly circulars.
