The new Winn-Dixie specialty supermarket, which recently opened at 6600 Hypoluxo Road, joins the trend of organic and healthy food markets like Wegmans, (a regional market), Whole Foods and Publix Greenwise markets.
Although there are specialty Winn-Dixies in Miami and Coral Springs, this is the first one in Palm Beach County.
Opened on the site of a former Winn-Dixie that closed in 2007, the store got a physical and merchandise facelift.
"We are committed to the region and wanted to come back to the community," said Matt Lobello, the district director of Winn-Dixie.
