Fishing Enforcement Report To Air Tonight

A six-month investigation by Dan Rather into the federal government's prosecution of commercial fishermen in the Northeast will be aired on national television tonight.

The report includes video of a National Marine Fisheries Service raid on the Gloucester Seafood Display Auction and examines the government's efforts attempt to shut down the fish house. It also looks into the abuse of funds forfeited by fishermen in fines, as well as the shredding of documents by the head of the NMFS office of law enforcement during an official investigation.

"Dan Rather Reports" airs on HDNet at 8 p.m. It will be repeated at 11 p.m. and on Saturday at 12 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m.
