Marder Trawling in New Bedford Hires Two New Executives

NEW BEDFORD — Marder Trawling Inc., a family-owned seafood company here for 35 years, has hired two new executives to strengthen the operation and help it grow.

Todd Michalik has joined as chief operating officer. According to a news release, he brings more than 20 years of experience across multiple industries, including significant expertise in manufacturing and food service. Michalik will focus on improving performance across the organization, including operational efficiencies, sourcing optimization, organizational effectiveness and profitable growth.

“Marder Trawling has an incredible history, and I believe its best days are still ahead. More and more, the commercial fishing industry is coalescing here in New Bedford, and we are well-positioned to serve new and growing markets,” Michalik said in a statement.
