BILOXI, MS – Now that those holiday meals are behind us, whose ready for some crawfish? So far indicators are showing that crawfish farmers can look forward to a plentiful season.
Crawfish farmers said they've got plenty of crawfish early.
"We had a real good weather situation here. It hasn't been too cold, hasn't been too hot. Also we had just the right amount of rain. We've also got a really good snow season coming which will also help extend the season," Jim Gunkel of Quality Poultry and Seafood said.
An extended season is sure to keep the folks, who look forward to the Cajun delicacy, coming back for more. Not only does it mean more profit for the farmers, it also translates into money saved for consumers.
