The Sacramento operation of Prospect Enterprises will become a Northern California location for Santa Monica Seafood with the close of an acquisition this summer. All 19 employees of American Fish are expected to be rehired.
Santa Monica Seafood is based in Rancho Dominguez with distribution locations in Atascadero, San Diego, Las Vegas and Phoenix. With the merger announced in April, Santa Monica Seafood is picking up Prospect Enterprises distribution locations in Arizona, Sacramento, San Diego and Los Angeles.
No price is being released on the deal, which is set to close July 4. Combined, the two companies will have annual revenue of about $400 million.
