SeaPak Hosts 'Shrimptacular' Celebration In October For National Seafood Month

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – October is National Seafood Month, and SeaPak Shrimp & Seafood Co. is celebrating the occasion by offering consumers numerous ideas for incorporating more seafood – specifically shrimp – into their dinnertime occasions.

All month long, the No. 1 shrimp brand in frozen specialty seafood is hosting its third annual “Shrimptacular” promotion. This year, the campaign also focuses a spotlight on the importance of families eating together and shows families how mealtime doesn’t have to be complex to be meaningful.

Busy parents are likely to contend that one major challenge to bringing the entire family to the table is finding the time to both prepare and enjoy a meal. One way SeaPak is sharing solutions is through a dedicated Shrimptacular web page offering consumers recipes to fit various flavor or culinary preferences; mealtime suggestions; a how-to video; coupons; and more.

From the web page, visitors can link to a Facebook quiz in order to determine which of four culinary styles matches their preferences best: comfort food, of-the-moment trends, lighter dishes or enjoys-it-all. Those who take the Facebook quiz will automatically receive a SeaPak product coupon and will also have the opportunity to enter to win a year’s supply of SeaPak products, plus a $500 grocery gift card.

SeaPak also is encouraging consumers to visit the frozen seafood aisle for their mealtime solutions through wide-scale coupon distribution on Sunday, Oct. 5. Full-page, freestanding inserts in newspapers around the country that day will be supplemented with an online coupon found at Coupons.com.

In addition to the cost savings, SeaPak is creating excitement within the grocery store by placing recipe suggestions, banners and balloons in selected retail locations.
