GSSI Approves ‘Continued Recognition’ of BAP Finfish & Crustacean Farm Standards, Salmon Farm Standards

Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative (GSSI) on Oct. 28 announced that the Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certification program has been recommended for continued recognition for its Finfish & Crustacean Farm Standards (Issue 2.4) and its Salmon Farm Standards (Issue 2.3) following the completion of GSSI’s Monitoring of Continued Alignment procedure.

Salmon Producer Is First in Chile to Earn BAP Group Certification

Salmones Multiexport S.A. is Chile’s first salmon producer to earn Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certification under the two-year BAP group audit, which is designed specifically for salmon producers. In total, 14 farms attained certification.
