U.S. Foodservice – Denver recently set the record for first-year sales of the Certified Angus Beef brand. Working closely with Lombardi Brothers, a long-time Certified Angus Beef brand licensed specialty meat purveyor, the Denver division moved the needle quickly, selling the product to 87 percent of its customer base.

Del Monte Fresh Produce, N.A., Inc., a subsidiary of Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. filed a notice to sue Oregon Health Authority’s Public Health Division and one of its officials. The Notice to Sue alerts the Oregon Health Authority’s Public Health Division of its conduct and misleading allegations regarding Del Monte Fresh’s imported cantaloupes as the source of a Salmonella outbreak earlier this year despite the lack of sufficient factual basis.

RPE Expands Sales Department Adds Sales Operations Manager

Effective August 29, Chuck Curl will join the sales staff at RPE as the new sales operations manager. Former sales operations manager, Kevin Wright, will shift his focus to the position of director of retail sales. Based in RPE’s Wisconsin office, Curl will be responsible for oversight of RPE’s customer service team, transportation department, and production coordination and serve as the sales and operation liaison.
