Kountry Specialties, an authorized distributor of Petit Jean Meats, announced today the official launch of their new website. The website offers customers the ability to customize their gift pack orders via a new “A La Carte” option, shopping cart with a new coupon code functionality, as well as providing first-time and returning customers with new product offerings. The new product line includes a wide variety of cheese items, along with newly added Summer Sausage & Cheese gift packs. Customers will also be able to order smoked hams by mail order.

Salem-Area Willamette Valley Cheese Sold To Pacific Foods Founder

Willamette Valley Cheese Company, which operates a creamery and tasting room just west of Salem, has been sold. The new owner is Chuck Eggert, according to Oregon Department of Agriculture records.

California Voters May Force Meat & Egg Producers Across The Country To Go Cage-Free

California voters will soon decide whether to ban the sale of meat and eggs from farm animals raised in cages. A November ballot measure, Proposition 12, would require more spacious digs for pigs, veal calves and egg-laying hens. It applies to animals in California and to those raised elsewhere for products sold in the Golden State.

Its activities are conducted at two manufacturing facilities located in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Dresser, Wisconsin (USA). The business employs approximately 170 people.
